The Central California Tribal Chairpersons’ Association (CCTCA) is a regional alliance within the broader California Tribal Chairpersons Association (CTCA), representing the collective interests of 56 federally recognized Tribes across 22 counties in Central California.

CCTCA works hand-in-hand with Tribal leaders to identify and advance priorities that impact our communities. Whether it's defending sovereignty, preserving cultural resources, or building sustainable economic opportunities, we bring a united voice to the table.

Our Mission

CCTCA is committed to representing the collective voice of 56 federally recognized Tribes across 22 counties. Through collaboration, advocacy, and leadership, we work to: Protect Tribal sovereignty Promote health and wellness in Native communities Safeguard natural and cultural resources Support education and leadership development Foster non-gaming economic growth for Tribal governments CCTCA serves as a strong regional partner within the California Tribal Chairpersons Association (CTCA), advocating at the local, state, and federal levels.

CCTCA is a regional organization representing 56 federally recognized Tribes across 22 counties in Central California. We advocate on behalf of our member Tribes at the local, state, and federal levels.
Federally recognized Tribes located within the Central California region are eligible for membership. Leadership participation is encouraged to ensure each Tribe's voice is represented. Please email info@cctca
CCTCA represents the sovereign interests of Tribes located within the geographic boundaries of the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Central California Region. This includes Tribes located in the following 22 counties: Amador, Butte. Colusa, El Dorado, Fresno, Glenn, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Lake, Madera, Mendocino, Mono, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sonoma, Tehama, Tulare, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba
